    Responsibilities

    Our Data Management team is seeking a strong people manager to manage our Central Region sales team. The Director, Business and Customer Development will be responsible for a team of 10 account executives and account managers across the Central Region Territory.

    • This position will focus on helping the sales team prospect and retain revenue growth within mid-size, large and enterprise accounts.
    • Responsible for establishing and implementing strategic business development plan to grow revenue for Data Management services - Iron Cloud, Tape Archive solutions, Secure IT Asset Destruction (SITAD), digital transformation solutions.
    • Ability to lead a sales team.
    • Providing insightful coaching that drives behavior adoption and employee satisfaction, account retention, revenue growth, and virtuous cycle of sales optimization initiatives.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Iron Mountain’s Data Management offerings, technologies, industry trends and best practices.
    • Successfully drive efforts to ensure collaborative Strategic Account Planning across multiple geographic theaters within Iron Mountain.

    Qualifications

    • Data Management Expertise: As the Director, it is critical that the ideal candidate have a history of leading a sales team to success. Data Management (data archival, restoration, protection) experience is a plus
    • Experience leading high performance teams managing data management and/or data storage across mid-sized, large and enterprise accounts.
    • Documented track record leading teams in prospecting for new accounts, maintaining and growing accounts.
    • Exceptional bandwidth and ability to strive in a fast paced, change environment.
    • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, planning and analytical skills
    • Ability to influence and negotiate.
    • Ability to make decisions and think in broad terms, considering the impact to the entire company.
    • Ability to team effectively at all levels of Iron Mountain and customer personnel (to include C-level) on a wide range of topics and issues.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Experience navigating large matrix sales organizations.
    • BA required, MBA preferred.
    • Sales leadership in the Information Management industry is a plus.
    • Provide Solution configuration recommendations, product pricing, quote/schedule/contract/SOW creation, modification and support
    • Gather and share intelligence on market trends, industry trends and competitors
    • Attend relevant trade shows and marketing events to create and advance opportunities
    • Support and educate cross functioning teams such as marketing, sales enablement, legal, contracts, operations, support, channels, product management to aid in Technology Services business growth
    • Total travel: 50%
