    Responsibilities

    A  Secure Shred  Driver  is the public face of Iron Mountain, trusted to transport and handle client materials and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. This important team member drives a company Mobile Shred Vehicle, transporting materials from client and Iron Mountain locations. A Mobile Shred Operator loads and unloads with a variety of mechanisms, uses wireless scanning technology, prepares paperwork and performs daily maintenance on the Mobile Shred Vehicle to ensure its efficient operation. This position calls for a significant degree of strength and stamina. We pay by the hour, not the mile.        

    • Communicates in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers     
    • Operates and maintains Mobile Shred Vehicle safely and efficiently (both manual or standard transmission)
    • Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance (details below)
    • Executes accurate and timely handling of client delivery and shredding requests
    • Prepares accurate paperwork and records

    Qualifications

    • Climb/step-up into a truck cab
    • Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, varying walking surfaces and elevation
    • Lift at least 70 pounds
    • Walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Current experience in customer service or a service industry
    • Two or more years’ route transportation experience preferred
    • Must be at least 21 years with CDL B  valid license and a good driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check and a DOT physical
    • Demonstrate safe/efficient driving skills
    • Computer proficiency
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
    • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
    • Can adhere to and enforce all security procedures
