    Responsibilities

    The Inside Sales Development Executive is an inside sales, telephone based role that will be responsible for passing sales qualified leads and influencing net new sales and revenue from prospective federal government prospects within the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security accounts and customer targets. The focus will be on selling Iron Mountain Government Solutions through prospecting, networking and executing on both marketing initiatives as well account plans resulting in revenue growth and quota attainment as well as customer satisfaction.  Additional prospecting focus will be assigned by the Federal Sales Director based on current prioritization of prospecting needs from ongoing marketing campaigns and events, which include but not are limited to industry conferences, tours, and partner events.

     

    Engage in outbound prospecting and drive account penetration of targets:

    • Teaming with a Business Development Executives (BDE) and/or Client Development Executive (CDE) to drive business within the book of business by proactively managing a lead generation programs to identify opportunities and determining appropriate Iron Mountain products and services.

    Lead Management:

    • Building credibility and relationships through strategic conversations to understand organizational business objectives and goals.

    Strategic Account Planning and Pipeline Development:

    • Responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound telemarketing campaigns targeted at their assigned book of business. In this position, you will conduct outbound sales prospecting by phone to deliver qualified leads to the Iron Mountain BDE and/or CDE. Participate in developing a prospecting strategy that includes the Iron Mountain sales, Marketing, Product Management, Partner/Channel Managers and IMGS Leadership

    Customer communications will be primarily be telephone based to include:

    • Account Sales and revenue growth with the potential to sell transactional Iron Mountain services, by gaining access to key decision makers within the book of business and closes business over the telephone.     

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably inside sales
    • Candidates must have a strong background and knowledge of strategic account management, sales process and solution selling as well as proficient experience in the following:
    • Must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce.com systems.
    • Prospect new customers and existing customers, selling Iron Mountain services through the telephone with the proven ability to translate customer needs into solution requirements.
    • Must meet and exceed key activity metrics.
    • Must have proven account prospecting skills.
    • Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
    • Must exhibit excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
    • Encompasses strong interpersonal, planning, analytical skills and business acumen for effective decision making
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of Iron Mountain and customer personnel (to include executive level customer contacts) on a wide range of topics and issues
    • Possess a working understanding of strategic selling methodologies
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Inside sales experience focusing on DHS or DoD is strongly preferred
