    Responsibilities

    The Regional Director of  Data Center Sales, East will be responsible for Go-to-Market leadership within the Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) East region.  The Director of Data Center Sales will be an instrumental part of the IMDC business line's ability to grow in a manner which is both predictable and profitable.    


    Build a world-class team.  Train existing team members and hire new talent to create a team of subject matter experts who possess the integrity, experience, intelligence, competitive drive and desire to help IMDC become a significant player within the wholesale data center and colocation industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Execution - The Regional Director of Data Center Sales is responsible for meeting revenue growth targets. 

     

    • Work with the team to develop sufficient pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Create accurate forecast commitments and meet or exceed these commitments.
    • Communicate anticipated future demand to best prepare internal organization for capacity and capital requirements.
    • Identify issues to resolve within the organization and remove barriers that negatively impact team productivity.
    • Inform marketing plan within segments and geographies of focus.
    • Work closely with leadership in the sales organizations within Iron Mountain’s other business divisions to identify and close data center business across our existing customer base of 26,000 clients
    • Reinforce a culture of accountability with high performance expectations that rewards profitable revenue growth but never at the expense of a poor customer experience.
    • Drive high value add, measurable opportunity and account planning.
    • Hold team members to a very high level of integrity and clarity to enable growth and to ensure that the IMDC team members are being good stewards of the large amounts of capital associated with the data center LOB.

     

    Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

    • Translate quotas and goals into actionable activities at the rep and regional level.
    • Wear an enterprise hat—drive revenue but make descisions like a business owner. Deep    data center experience is desired but not required
    • Proven history participating in successful independent or intra-company startups without the benefit of unlimited resources and the ability to select and reinforce the correct efforts    which will bring the greatest benefit to the GTM effort.
    • Operate in a manner which reflects Iron Mountain's history and commitment to long- lasting and successful customer and employee relationships.
    • Candidate must have sufficient understanding of the operational and financial components of the data center industry in order to be an excellent steward of Iron Mountain's
    • Grow/hire the next generation of leadership to drive IMDC’s ability to scale. The ability to attract and retain team members that are capable and willing to 'work themselves out of a job' by providing effective training and reinforcement to their peers within both existing IM   business units and inside of IMDC.
