    As Director - Software Engineering, you will apply your knowledge of management, software development methodologies, best practices, and proven processes to deliver a quality software product on budget, within planned schedule with superb quality. This specific position will manage a set of software engineers to focus on platform and system level integration.


    Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    • Ownership, definition, and implementation of a robust software development strategy to meet company objectives.
    • Leadership of the implementation team, ensuring good communication of company strategy and best practices within the project implementation.
    • Financial management, including budgeting, planning and reporting
    • Driving initiatives around continuous improvement, quality and support approaches to improve productivity and efficiency in all areas.
    • Direction and support for international projects ensuring that resources and operational needs are met to ensure projects are completed to the agreed time, quality and cost while working in a matrix environment.
    • Creating an appropriate working environment for the project team members to strive.
    • Ensuring environments and infrastructures are able to support system development requirements and needs.
    • Provide guidance and best practices to enable project success
    • Catalog and share common functional modules to accelerate the development process
    • Set Billing/Invoicing COE vision and strategy to serve the customer application expectations
    • Review and approve changes to architecture, applications, design of Billing / Invoicing applications
    • Enable efficient, cost-optimized application development
    • Manage relationships with key partners and vendors
    • Communicate progress and exceptions to project sponsor(s)
    • Ensure delivery on commitments and service level fulfillment
    • Start building, establishing, and communicating processes to sustain the COE including:
      • Services and service levels
      • Design / Build / Testing standards and code/mapping reviews
      • Release management / Deployment processes
    • Continue to provide production support services for projects leveraging the COE infrastructure.



    Job Dimensions

    • Assess Billing/Invoicing needs across the enterprise, partnering with BRE’s and S/VP business stakeholders
    • Develop and deploy Billing / Invoicing solutions
    • Provide leadership on the design and development of application solutions to meet business requirements, technology standards, and other identified needs
    • Lead IT systems delivery with focus on meeting new and emerging Billing/Invoicing technology applicable to the Services industry


    • Minimum of 15 years of Software Engineering or related experience.
    • 5+ years in a management position
    • Proven track record in managing large and multidisciplinary international development projects.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication, including effective speaking skills and presence
    • Able to work effectively with both business and IT stakeholders
    • Technical proficiency in architecture, data integration, and systems integration
    • Ability to introduce, implement, and develop new innovative ways to implement projects in cost effective way
    • Ability to manage~$10M budget per project
    • Willing to travel 25% which might include international travel.
    • High initiative, strong work ethic, and interest in new technology and software applications is essential


    • Knowledge & Technical Know-how:
    • Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles
    • Through working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and best practices
    • Good understanding of Platform Integration strategies by developing applications and framework.
    • Experience working in a customer centric mindset
    • Excellent writing proficiency, visual design, and presentation skills required
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team- oriented environment
    • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels, ability to lead and motivate staff
    • Ability to influence change in others across the organization
    • Technical proficiency in architecture, data integration, and systems integration
