Iron Mountain is seeking a Security Systems Specialist that will be responsible for the operation, testing, evaluation, and configuration of every intrusion detection, access control and CCTV system. The security team activities include, but are not limited to, system design, troubleshooting, integration, testing and evaluation, and project management.
The selected candidate is expected to proactively identify and apprise management of developments, problems, and general status of facility security systems operations. Ensures that systems are compliant and assists with audits from various private and public audit agencies.
Plans access control, CCTV, intercom and intrusion detection system installations by surveying and evaluating the facility or area, identifying system installation requirements based on Iron Mountain’s Physical Security Standards, laying-out equipment requirements, and conducting onsite vendor meetings. Must have the ability to read and understand blueprint and schematic diagrams. Strong project management and system evaluation skills are a plus.
Assist management with mergers/acquisitions projects involving a security vetting process to evaluate and assess the potential acquisition. This will consist of site visits and vetting security systems. Process may also include performing a risk assessment on the facility and evaluating the existing security systems. Assessing what if any costs are required to convert the system to IM Physical Security Standards.
•Provide security systems administration and programming assistance for all colocation facilities
•Maintain and track all equipment warranty, license renewals and upgrades for all equipment
•Project manage security systems installation for all new construction and retrofit projects related to physical security including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
•Troubleshoot and resolve, with vendor support, defects or failures to security systems
•Stay abreast of current technology and strive to improve the data center physical security systems.
•Provide support for process related information to internal and external audits as needed to assure continuity of data used for reporting and quality control purposes
•Assist in root cause analysis of process upsets and operation sequence of events.
•Provide engineering scope, design and estimates for projects requiring control system configuration and equipment upgrades
•In conjunction with other verticals, provide training to ensure that affected security personnel are aware of changes made to the control system or control system interface, and how these changes may affect process control
•Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrates ability to follow directions, prioritize assignments, complete tasks as assigned and use sound judgment in the carrying out of duties.

•Possesses and maintains a professional attitude, appearance and ability to represent the security department in a positive manner at all times.
•Experience with Honeywell ProWatch and MaxPro CCTV system programming and troubleshooting methods
•Drawing, redlining and blueprint reading skills
•Ability to configure and maintain Ethernet communication systems in a secure high availability environment
•Capable of successfully interacting with company employees, clients, vendors and outside agencies (as may be necessary for the completion of assigned duties).
