    Perform regular processing of media, containers, inventory maintenance, and required documentation of customer data stored in the IMOSDP vault.

    • Process open-slot media and containers by filing media in/out of slots and cycling containers to/from shelving/racks. 
    • Complete and maintain all records and forms with respect to receiving and/or releasing customer data which includes the filing of vault paperwork. 
    • Utilize OPIS for inputting and tracking of all media/container processing. 
    • Answer incoming client phone calls and contact clients via telephone. 
    • Unload route vehicles as required (unless employee is performing both unloading and library duties as part of the normal schedule). 
    • Other duties, as specified by manager/supervisor.


    • Familiarity with PCs and other computer-related products. 
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well. 
    • Must be able to communicate verbally with customers via telephone. 
    • Must be able to understand the importance of detail and accuracy. 
    • Strong customer service skills, including understanding the importance and value of the IMOSDP customer. 
    • Must be able to read and verify group of numbers continuously during shift. 
    • Demonstrate understanding for the importance and value of customers. 
    • Total travel 10%; overnight travel 10%. 
    • From time to time and based on the business needs of the branch or facility, an OSS will be required to operate an Iron Mountain vehicle.  With the unpredictability of client recalls and other contingencies, all OSS personnel are subject to being asked to drive.  Our OSS employees will need to ensure a driving record is maintained that meets acceptable parameters for the IM Driver Qualification matrix for driving violations.  Being unable to drive for IM may affect one’s ability to continue employment. 
    • Education:  High school diploma or GED equivalent.
