The Director of Product Marketing for Technology, Platform and Analytics solutions leads the team responsible for the positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and enablement of Iron Mountain’s strategic offerings, including products, services and solutions across North America and Western Europe that are designed to enable customers to manage and analyze their information across its lifecycle. This role reports to the Director of Product Marketing.




This position requires strategic leadership, execution excellence, strong cross-group collaboration, outstanding communications, a global mindset, strong research and analysis skills and an ability to lead numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate should be customer/competitive focused, have a proven track record in driving successful end-to-end launches, and passionate about products and solutions.  Candidates should be experienced in go-to-market strategies for complex technology-based solutions that help customers to gain business intelligence and create value from their information. Key responsibilities include:


  • Connecting Vision to Strategy and Execution Priorities - Translates vision into a plan with clear tradeoffs, detailed milestones, and resource alignment. Translate business  and product objectives, market opportunities and offerings into cohesive marketing plans across targeted segments and geographies (North America and Western Europe)
  • Provide insight and support to company leadership to inform the identification and development of new offerings (products, solutions or services)
  • Helps identify target buyer needs, market trends and the competitive landscape. Puts the customer and the user at the center of product marketing, and champions the customer in our go to market.
  • Builds the go-to-market plan and translates into on-time, on-budget execution and delivery of results.  Oversee launch planning for new offerings that incorporates products, solutions and services where applicable.
  • Positioning and Messaging - Strong fundamentals in defining winning value propositions for our offers. Drives to define the unique positioning and effective messaging that is rooted in research, data and customer input. Strong understanding of IT and Analytics and can segment target buyer needs, market trends and the competitive landscape
  • Create a sales enablement plan and oversee marketing contributions to drive sales’ adoption of the products and solutions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build effective working relationships with sales, product management, sales enablement, content marketing, brand, and demand gen to integrate marketing plans   
  • Strong Communication: Ability to succinctly and effectively communicate to internal and external audiences. Effective with senior executives as well as ability to engage with press and analyst as appropriate. Strong oral and written communication to help craft messaging and content. Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to ensure understanding
  • Leadership: Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to guide the cross-functional stakeholders. Establish priorities and directive feedback. Ability to manage cross-functional performance and identify gaps and remediation steps
  • Reporting & Metrics: Formalize processes, measurement tools and reporting to manage results; assess the go-to-market processes & address gaps in performance
  • Industry/vertical Expertise: Application of customer use cases in targeted vertical segments – with preference for financial services, energy
  • Responsible for the developing and managing the annual departmental budget, including any business case presentations and metrics. 


  • Ten to 15 years of professional experience motivating and leading a diverse and distributed marketing team; global experience is a plus
  • Subject matter knowledge in Cloud, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Technology
  • Eight to 10 years of advanced experience with product marketing, product line or business unit management strongly preferred
  • Formal leadership experience overseeing a complex marketing budget
  • Demonstrated success influencing C-level executives and cross-functional leaders
  • Strong background in analytics, measurements and dashboards
  • Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning offerings
  • Experience developing thought leadership to enhance a company’s reputation in terms of expertise and innovation

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management processes/frameworks

  • Comprehensive insight into the operational side of offering deliver
  • Sales enablement requirements across a portfolio of offerings
  • Organizational design, development and growth strategies for global marketing organizations
  • Understanding of key industries and market segments relevant to the organization 



Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business, marketing or related field;  MBA strongly preferred
