    Iron Mountain Data Management organization is seeking experienced technologists to join our team dedicated to building Cloud-scale data services focused on providing Infrastructure data services to Iron mountain public Cloud. The ideal candidate will be familiar with distributed system architecture and possess a strong foundation in infrastructure management systems.


    Iron Mountain has an immediate opening for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This is a hands-on role, In this role you will be responsible for building and engineering the Cloud infrastructure including maintaining (multi-vendor) servers (both physical and virtual), SAN's, NAS, Cloud Infrastructure automation and monitoring services, supporting Iron Mountain Public Data Cloud


    About the position

    The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for design, development and support of hardware, software, networking and storage systems for Iron Mountain Public Data Cloud.

    This position is member of a team responsible for the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of a highly available Cloud infrastructure. You will be working with the following technologies and disciplines to which you should have a strong foundation and expertise:

    • Operating systems – Linux (RHEL – primary), Windows
    • Storage – SAN/NAS/Object Store
    • Virtualization – VMWare, Hyper V, OpenStack
    • Networking – at service providers grade
    • Cross platform Virtualization and Cloud technologies
    • Scripting / Powershell
    • DevOps experience – advantage
    • Service Automation, Orchestration engines


    The successful candidate for this role will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience in integrating multi technology platforms, products and solutions, solid communication skills and a desire to tackle the complex problems of scale which are unique.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Public Cloud engineering responsibilities as well as Level 2/3 operation and support
    • Design, deploy and maintain network data center infrastructure and processes necessary to safeguard data systems.
    • Configure  infrastructure and applications for high performance and highly available operation to meet business needs


    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise class IT environments.
    • Cloud service provider experience - preferable
    • Strong hands on experience and successful implementation and management of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
    • Strong hands on experience with Cloud base infrastructure.
    • Strong hands on experience with storage hardware; including, both SAN and NAS implementations (EMC or NetApp Storage technology, Object Storage technology is a plus)
    • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure; including, Active Directory
    • Strong Microsoft PowerShell skills
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • Able to conduct research into data center infrastructure issues and products as required
    • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Able to effectively prioritize tasks when under pressure
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technology field, or equivalent experience required.
