To provide overall ownership of the Special projects product line and process at the Region level. Support the business in managing bottom line profit and loss, with a key focus on increasing overall revenue and profit to attain targets for the Special Projects product line as set within the associated overlay P&L. Act as a resource and dotted line leader to the market level MPL’s in support of ongoing special project execution. Ensure that ongoing product development, process improvement, and product positioning is aligned with budgeted growth expectations for represented Region special project overlay P&L. Generate increased customer adoption and satisfaction. Ensure that ongoing adoption of product and process enhancements occurs at the market level, set up and leverage feedback mechanisms to capture additional best practices to integrate into ongoing Special Projects product development to ensure ongoing growth. Lead the roll out of innovative solutions in partnership with product management within represented region.





  • Responsible for the overall development and expansion of the Special Projects product line within represented Region.
  • Act as a key owner of the Special Projects product in designated Region, ensuring growth of revenue and profits to meet/exceed established overlay P&L targets
  • Act as a lead and resource to all internal stakeholders in the development of the Special Projects product, processes, and positioning
  • Build long term relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Interface with key customer to further understand their needs and expectations regarding Custom Solutions, integrate feedback into ongoing product enhancements
  • Partner with regional and market level leadership to ensure ongoing focus on Special Projects growth and to drive optimal adherence to ongoing product and process changes
  • Ensure that all workflow procedures and processes are regularly reviewed, updated and followed across represented Region.
  • Ensure ongoing understanding of key Special Projects metrics, performance, and enhancements across the business to include both Sales and Field Operations
  • Support the recruitment of suitable high calibre, and customer service focused market MPL’s where needed.
  • Coach, train and guide indirect/dotted line reports to deliver high levels of service and to generate needed revenue and profit expectations.
  • Support the North American sales organization in pursuit of Special Projects opportunities, provide education and line of sight to key products and processes in an effort to increase opportunity identification and closure.
  • Ensure that standard policies and procedures are rolled out to the business unit in a timely manner.
  • Ensure IT Systems and Records Systems are used properly within the team/site, using KPIs to analyse service delivery performance, identify and implement improvements.
  • Support the rollout of innovative solutions in partnership with product management within represented Region.  
  • Ownership for Special Projects P&L to include revenue and cost/profit margin within represented Region.
  • Develop, plan and Manage against annual operating budgets consistent with business strategy.
  • Escalate all serious issues to the Director, Special Projects as appropriate/necessary to ensure attainment of product objectives and targets.
  • Research and resolve service, productivity, and growth issues and implement solutions
  • Ensure line of sight to ongoing attainment of Special Projects product targets, revenue, margin, etc. to assigned targets and drive improvement where necessary.
  • Investigate and problem solve questionable data/reporting where necessary



Ability to build and develop successful long term relationship with customers, direct reports, other teams and departments within Iron Mountain

  • Sufficient proven experience as a senior manager, strong P&L management experience, demonstrated success generating revenue and profitability growth, preferably within Iron Mountain or from the records management industry or logistics background. This includes:
  • People management skills and experience
  • Service delivery experience
  • Successful execution of regional strategy
  • A relevant management qualification is ideal, alternatively the person will be prepared to study for such a qualification and have a professional approach towards continuous personal development.
