    Responsibilities

    1. Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing assignments.
    2. Performs preventative maintenance on all machines, HiLo equipment and Bobcat.
    3. Provides direction while maintaining the operating condition of all equipment. 
    4. Responsible for directing employees in conducting maintenance, preventative maintenance, service and repairs in the areas of machine servicing, electrical or vehicle servicing. 
    5. Provides daily direction in order to accomplish specific projects or tasks.  Makes recommendations to the Plant Supervisor regarding equipment upgrades and/or repairs. 
    6. Operates common hand or power tools.   
    7. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. 
    8. Supports all maintenance standards within the district. 
    9. Supports and helps maintain a safe and secure working environment in the facilities. 
    10. Perform other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    1. Must be able to work overtime as required. 
    2. Must be on call. 
    3. Must have valid driver’s license. 
    4. Must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in areas of specialties. 
    5. Must have an understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
    6. Basic knowledge in PLC’s, low voltage control circuits.
    7. Basic knowledge in hydraulics. 
    8. Basic knowledge of trade skills (carpentry, mechanical, electrical). 
    9. Basic knowledge in MIG and ARC welding.
    10. Functional knowledge in desktop computers.   
    11. Strong organizational and verbal communication skills required.   
    12. Ability to use hand and power tools and to work independently. 
    13. Education / Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent trade school / At least 5 years work experience.
