Responsibilities

The Enterprise Solutions Architect is a key member of Iron Mountain’s Solutions Architecture team and will be responsible for taking ownership of complex projects needing rationalization, consolidation and long term solution strategies and roadmap development.


The Enterprise Solutions Architect will work closely with business and technical owners in devising such a strategy and offering a technology based solution in achieving the goals and objectives set during strategy development. The Solution Architect will act as a technology consultant and work with the technical teams and help with the execution of the solution.
We are looking for an Enterprise Solutions Architect and Technologist who has a deep understanding and knowledge of a wide variety of technologies and experience with planning & analysis, application development, infrastructure, and operations.

The Enterprise Solutions Architect is responsible for all aspects of solution strategy and solution realization including functional analysis, contribution toward development of requirements, solution design of hardware and software components, security, technology selection, development and execution of solution blueprint.

 

In addition, the Enterprise Solutions Architect will provide guidance to the Application architects and developers on design best practices.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Planning and guiding large or complex projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise in overall solution planning and execution including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance
  • Prioritization of work to assure overall business objectives
  • Actively monitors new and emerging technologies, trends, practices and solutions and assess their applicability to business initiatives and strategies
  • Translate business requirements and operational strategy into a long-term, executable solution plan and roadmap
  • Collaborate with the departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Customer CARE to identify requirements and incorporate those in long term vision and roadmap.
  • Work with IT Leadership to keep solutions in alignment with future IT roadmap.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 15+ years of experience in development and execution of solution strategies and business plans that promote business growth.
  • Technical proficiency in various technologies including, but not limited to areas such as:
    • Requirements gathering
    • Process flow analysis
    • SaaS, On-prem, Cloud (AWS) and Hybrid technologies
    • Microsoft Technology Stack (Windows, .net, C#, IIS etc.)
    • Linux based systems
    • Networking concepts
    • HA and Load Balancing (F5)
    • Firewall security
    • HTMl5, Java, JS frameworks (Angular 2)
    • SOA Architecture, ESB, REST/SOAP, Apache/Tomcat
    • SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL
    • SAML, OAuth, LDAP
    • SOA, ESB, Message Queues
    • Atlassian products, Eclipse, SVN, GitHub
    • Knowledge of CI/C and Containers
    • Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience with demonstrating as a visionary and strategist for providing solutions for a product area
  • Experience in architecting, leading and implementing complex technical integrations involving multiple partners and tools
  • Expertise in identifying and translating system requirements into software design documentation
  • Experience designing end to end solutions and collaborating with application teams in executing those solution blueprints and plans
  • Planning and management throughout the SDLC process including design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions
  • Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of projects within the solution area.
  • Proven strong leadership skills within the project team and in the business community.
  • Must possess the ability to share, communicate and collaborate on ideas clearly, both orally and in writing with business partners and technical resources.
  • Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results.
  • Running projects and delivery experience driving business requirements, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing solutions
  • Hands-on experience with industry best practices
  • Experience with agile development, change control processes and documentation
  • Experience with working in a SaaS environment and designing/developing multi-tenant solutions
  • Management style that exhibits high energy, strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication and results orientation
  • Experience working across multiple IT function teams
